About Puente de Salud

Puente de Salud means "bridge to health." We built this directory because the help exists — it is just scattered across dozens of websites, county pages, and phone trees.

In North Carolina, thousands of families go without care simply because they do not know a free clinic is fifteen minutes away, that a federal health center must see them regardless of insurance, or that one phone call to 211 can connect them to rent and utility help.

This site puts those resources in one place, in plain language, in English and Spanish. Everything listed is free or low-cost. You do not need insurance, an account, or a computer — a phone is enough.

Who runs this

Puente de Salud is a volunteer-run community project. We are not a clinic and we do not provide medical advice. We collect public information and keep it organized. Listings are checked periodically, but programs change — always call ahead to confirm hours and services.
